Huss Valley Controls & Movement Guide
Learn one repeatable movement sequence first. Use the lobby to separate acceleration, lateral steering, dashing and stopping; then use those actions to change a Chaser’s prediction.
PC control reference
| Action | Published input | What the material establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Move | W / A / S / D | Momentum-based movement; acceleration builds over time. |
| Lateral dash | Space + A or D | The guides describe a sideways dash rather than a normal forward/backward dash. |
| Instant stop | Alt | Listed by Roonby and Pro Game Guides; ItzVexo narrates a visible stop button without naming it. |
| Interact / revive | E | Listed by the guides for objects and downed teammates. |
| Catch as Chaser | Use the current on-screen prompt | One video says Space; the guide describes a melee attack. Do not assume a universal binding from this disagreement. |
Practice the sideways-forward dash
ItzVexo’s tutorial gives this PC sequence at about 1:51–2:16. The order matters: you are preserving forward movement while setting up a sideways dash.
Hold forward
Hold W long enough to build some speed in a clear part of the lobby or AFK area.
Add a side input
While keeping W held, press A to prepare a leftward juke or D for a rightward juke.
Release the side key
Let go of A or D while continuing to hold W. Do not replace the entire movement with a long sideways walk.
Press Space
Press Space to dash. The narrated result is a sideways-forward movement that keeps you progressing toward the far end.
Check the result
Look for a lateral change while still advancing. Repeat left and right in the practice area, then try a turn after the dash. If your client behaves differently, use its visible dash prompt and retrain the sequence.
Why releasing W does not feel like a brake
The guides describe gradual acceleration and sliding or drifting when input stops. That makes a sudden turn less sharp than it looks on a keyboard diagram. Treat your path as a moving line that needs room to bend.
Use the guide-listed Alt stop when you want to kill momentum, then set up a new direction. A stop in the middle of a chase also makes you easy to reach, so practice it before relying on it close to a Chaser. ItzVexo demonstrates the idea, but the caption’s “this button” does not independently name Alt.
Accelerate in a straight lane
Hold forward until the movement feels steady.
Release and observe
Let go in the lobby and notice the remaining travel rather than assuming you stop instantly.
Brake and redirect
Try the current stop input, then start moving in another direction.
Apply with space
Use a stop or turn to break a prediction when there is room to accelerate again; use a lateral juke if braking would leave you beside the Chaser.
Dash direction and camera advice
The written guide says dashes are lateral and does not describe a normal forward or backward dash. NoobBlox discusses camera direction and later talks about dashing backward. Those descriptions can depend on camera orientation or on the technique being shown. They are not enough to publish a separate guaranteed backward-dash input.
Practice with a fixed view before changing your camera angle. If you rotate the camera, check where the dash actually carries you before doing it at the boundary.
Caught when the screen looked clear?
NoobBlox’s opening advice is to use the Servers menu near the top right and choose a server with a better connection for your region. High ping can make the local picture feel different from the catch result. That is a reason to find a normal low-ping server and keep more space, not a promise that every close call is lag.
Open Servers
Use the server selector shown in your client.
Compare connection
If region or ping information is displayed, prefer a nearby server with a lower stable ping.
Retest in the lobby
Check movement responsiveness before taking a risky crossing.
Mobile, controller and shift lock
The inspected material does not establish the full mobile or controller button layout. Follow the action labels in your device’s current HUD and practice the same accelerate → steer → dash result.
CHALLS initially suggests shift lock and then says it is not enabled in that session. A Left Control shift-lock command found on the older Ve3 game’s page belongs to that different experience. Do not copy it into this control list.
